Standing Spruce founded by Lesley Assu, a proud member of the Haida nation, embraces her roles as a local Haida witch, herbalist, and mother, deeply rooted in the healing traditions of old world medicine and the wisdom of plants and trees. Raised in the rich cultural heritage of Haida Gwaii and her father's We Wai Kai community, Lesley's upbringing instilled in her a profound connection to the land and sea.
